About this object
This is a two furrow horse drawn plough which was locally made in Invercargill by MacAlister Ltd, probably in about 1920 but possibly before.
This is one of a number of similar ploughs in the Thornbury Collection which were made by local blacksmith. These include ploughs from J. Stevenson of Waianawa, Gardener of Mataura, Trapski of Wyndham and Booth.
