Radio, FT101E Yaesu Transceivers

About this object

This is a Yaesu FT101E transceiver. Manufactured by the Japan Radio Company in the 1970s and 80s, it is part of a model line of amateur radio transceivers made by the company. Prior to the development of Yaesu's FT101 line, modular design (a design approach that subdivides a system into smaller parts called modules or skids, that can be independently created and then used in different systems) had never been created for the amateur radio community.
