Victorian green glass jug

About this object

Victorian green glass jug from the extensive collection owned by the late Margaret McNulty, a former resident of Cromwell area. Gold and white decoration. The gold is in a thin line around the neck of the jug and there are two further thin lines on the upper part of the bowl of the jug between which is two zigzag bands of small white dots separated by a wide gold band with diamond shapes of white dots overlaid. On the lower part of the bowl the gold is painted in swag shapes with white dots in flower shapes.There has been gold around the rim but it worn in some places. The inside of the bowl has ribbing. The handle of the jug stands higher than the neck and the spout is narrow.
