About this object

Stoneware water filter with interior jacket and a lid. The cylindrical outer has a plated tap at the base and lugs for handles about two thirds up on either side. The stone coloured glaze is decorated with antique style white porcelain plaques: two are of grape leaves and grapes, one is a coat of arms and the largest is a name plaque. The interior filter jacket has a large rim that fits inside the casing and the cylinder is smaller. There are lugs inside and just below the rim is a circular depression with a hole in it.The lid has a different glaze but is a good fit. There are three holes drilled through the lid below the knob.
