William Pember Reeves (High Commissioner for New Zealand); Published by Adam and Charles Black, London, 1908; 241 p., colour plates, folding map in colour, list of illustrations and index. The book is a well presented blend of descriptive and historical material, with fine colour plates of the New Zealand countryside, reproductions of watercolour paintings by Frank and William Wright, and with a large folding coloured map. Signature of the owner - H J Towan, Grove Farm.
Brown cloth binding with illustrated cover and spine with Maori inspired motifs (Tiki) in gold, black and green on cover. Title in green letters on cover and gilt lettering on spine.
