About this object

Kerosene fueled hanging lamp. The amber glass light is hung from chains that attach to a brass ceiling fitting that then, by a pulley system, run down to a) the brass fitting on top of the shade and to b) a brass saucer that holds the burner.
The font is of clear glass and the burner is brass and marked "Venus". the chains would allow the burner to be lowered so it could be cleaned and the font refilled.
The amber lamp shade is broken and there is no chimney glass.
