Miners candlestick holder used in mines before advent of carbide lamps. a - Candle 60mm long, tapered body and top. b.- Candle holder comprises tubular ring around candle with lever off one side which opens ring to release candle; metal loop from ring ends up as spike on other side of candle but from this, opposite candle there is vertical hooked spike.
