3rd Otago Rifles Volunteers uniform jacket
About this object
Red suede uniform jacket of the 3rd Otago Rifle Volunteers with dark blue collar and cuffs and white frogging on the sleeve above the cuffs. The epaulets are outlined in white and have a brass button fastening and brass 3 and ORV attached.There are ten brass buttons on the front of the jacket. On the lower back is a panel outlined with white braid and two brass buttons. On each side at waist level are hooks for a belt. The jacket is fully lined with a cotton fabric and has a pocket inset on the left hand side.
This jacket belonged to James Crabbe of Bannockburn, Captain.
