William Blews & Sons gold scales and weight. Stored in a wooden box with hinged lid and key hole.
The scales are a cross beam 24.5 cm and indicator attached to two brass pans 11.5 cm diameter each held by three brass chains.
Weights consist of three sets of brass Troy cup weights, a brass 1oz Troy weight, a Schrader tin of five small home made type weights and a single ¼ oz weight.
Green label on inside lid lists WORKS Birmingham and London.Medium and Materials
On the inside of the lid is a green label "WILLIAM BLEWS & SONS MANUFACTURERS OF WEIGHTS AND MEASURES. GOLD SCALES AND WEIGHTS WARRANTED CORRECT. WORKS BIRMINGHAM & LONDON.
On the lid of the tin: Schrader TRADE MARK VALVE CAPS A.SCHRADER'S SON INC LONDON ENGLAND.
