About this object

William Blews & Sons gold scales and weight. Stored in a wooden box with hinged lid and key hole.
The scales are a cross beam 24.5 cm and indicator attached to two brass pans 11.5 cm diameter each held by three brass chains.
Weights consist of three sets of brass Troy cup weights, a brass 1oz Troy weight, a Schrader tin of five small home made type weights and a single ¼ oz weight.
