About this object

Clear glass bottle for aerated water, manufactured by T. Hotton, Naseby, active 1927-1947. Embossed on the bottle "T Hotton Naseby" and "This bottle always remains the property of T Hotton Naseby". Reproduced label has "Preservatised, Carbonated, Stone Ginger, T Hotton, Aerated water manufacturer". According to Stones Otago and Southland Commercial Municipal Directory, he worked at the Royal Hotel Naseby from 1927-1945. He is listed in Naseby for a further two years. He may also have been associated with Mt Ida Cordials.
