Bicycle, Child's; Ferris Brothers; 1935-1939?; HP.05P1747

Name/Title

Bicycle, Child's

About this object

This child's bicycle was made by the brother's Jim and Les Ferris for their own children. Both brothers were mechanics and operated out of their Ferris Bros. Cycle Shop in Main Street Gore from the early 1930s. The mass production of children's bicycles did not start until the late 1940s - early 1950s so a child's bicycle of this era is unusual.
