A copy of a black and white photograph taken of a crowd of onlookers and potential purchasers of penned sheep, during the clearing sale on "Waiarikiki", the farm of Adam Sutherland Macaulay. According to newspaper accounts, there was a crowd of approximately 1000 people who turned up.
