About this object

This is one of a series of 38 black and white photographs taken by Keith McDonald which record the impact of the October 1978 flood of the Mataura River, on the Mataura Paper Mill. This photograph was taken around 9am on 15 October 1978 and shows the water damage to the reel end of the Mill's No 2 Paper Machine. The debris indicates the water level.
