Black and white photograph of the Mataura Coronation Hall & Athenaeum in McQueen Avenue taken in the early 1900s with 13 men standing outside the Hall (likely the then Mataura Borough Councillors). The photograph provides a good record of Edwardian male/mens fashion. The hats are especially interesting and include: 5 bowler hats, 4 homburg hats (felt hats with a single crown gutter), 1 cloth cap and 3 plantation type hats (round rim, band and crown).
