Black and white photograph of a memorial stone to Reko, a 19th century Ngāi Tahu, Kaumātua who lived on this site at Tuturau. The stone was marked by the Hesselin and Ramage families to honour their tupuna tāne.
In autumn 2014 we commissioned documentary photographer Andrew Ross
to take a photographic essay of Mataura. This is one of the images from Andrew's essay of 71 photographs.
