Camera, No 2 Folding Autographic Brownie, Kodak

About this object

Camera; No 2 Folding Autographic Brownie, Kodak. It belonged to Clara Catherine McConnell (later Quilter and Hicks). Clara eloped and married Thomas Quilter in February 1940 just before he left to serve in World War Two. Thomas died during the war leaving Clara to raise their son Geoffrey. We have several photographs that Clara took during her honeymoon with Thomas on this camera, so it is a nice tangible link to the happiest part of their story.
