About this object

Letter; dated 24 April 1940 from the New Zealand Director of Forestry to the British Forestry Commission introducing Officers of the State Forest Service who were members of the Forestry Corps, Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force. One of the officers was Mataura local, Quarter Master, Sergeant (later Lieutenant) Thomas G. Quilter who has also signed the letter.
