Bonnet
About this objectBonnet; a women's black bonnet decorated with glass beads, sequins and two ostrich feathers. The bonnet has two taffeta ties and is lined with silk and covered with ruched net over a wire base. It originally belonged to Mrs Margaret Taylor (1871-1948) of Mataura. Mrs Taylor's husband was John Taylor who operated a local rabbit processing factory from 1893. It came to us via Mrs Taylor's daughter, Nan Willcocks.
