About this object

Mrs Hazel Dickie of Ferndale hand crocheted this three piece suit and entered it in the Country Women's Institute's 1970 National Hand Crafts Awards, winning the Wool Board's crochet section.

The blue wool long-sleeved jacket has a lapel collar and a horizontal-stripe pattern. The A line skirt is made of the same coloured wool, has an elastic waist and is lined with blue satin. The white three buttoned vest has a contrasting horizontal pattern.
