Ram press cases - road marker

About this object

Two parts of a ram press case used in the production of a plaster mould. Each consists of a plaster body held within a cylindrical metal frame. The metal frames each have two circular fittings which would hold a pin to join the two parts. Part 1 has a shallow dome surrounded by a circular relief band. Part 2 has a flat circle surrounded by a similar relief band. Both are coated with an Araldite like resin. Some black paint remains intact on metal frames.
