About this object

Tarnished thimble with honeycomb pattern and plain rim band. Remnants of brass plating on band. One of five thimbles from the wreck of the sailing ship LASTINGHAM [sunk in 1884]. It was found with other items in a large china teapot recovered by Roger Meecham.
