Sailor's Chest

About this object

Lockable wooden chest with a hinged lid. The beckets (rope handles) are attached via carved mounts. Lid has a canvas cover, and the whole exterior has been painted black. Keyhole at front. Interior lid features pencil drawing of a fully rigged ship at anchor with land in background. Rest of lid and hinges are painted canary yellow. Chest contains a rusty metal artefact with a curved blade.
