Photographer's notes: "Unloading coal by dinghy at Cuvier under Captain Bunty Brown's supervision from the MV COLVILLE. The coal is lifted out of the dinghy by crane at the landing block and onto the tram which is winched to the stoke shed. The coal was used in the stoves and hot water."
Murray Williscroft was a lighthouse keeper, who, along with his wife Ventris worked on a number of stations around New Zealand in the 1950s-60s.
