Tom Clark, principal keeper at Puysegur Point, standing beside a dinghy at Preservation Inlet. Photographer's caption: "Tom Clark, station boat and technician waiting for the plane. Coal Island in background. We all wore life jackets as our boat fashion. The water was very cold. Tom is wearing bare feet and smoking Bears dark pipe tobacco in cigarettes. There was ice in the boat, as Tom would say 'a brisk day'."
Murray Williscroft was a lighthouse keeper, who, along with his wife Ventris worked on a number of stations around New Zealand in the 1950s-60s.
