Port Chalmers Museum
Located in the original stone post office built in 1877 to service the bustling port town. This collection reflects the primary industries surrounding the port. The maritime collection is comprehensive and includes Union Steam Ship Company memorabilia, builder's models and artefacts from sail and steam eras, and from the shipping and fishing industries.
The settlers' collection celebrates the lives of the first pioneers as well as the many port characters who have lived here through the years.
