About this object

In the early days of telephones a timber and glass constructed phone box served the needs of an urban area. Apart from the telephone there was a telephone directory, pages often removed to provide note paper for writing down messages. The same phone box in its later days became an item for competition, how many people, teenagers in particular could get into one phone box.
