About this objectCircular steel object with serrated edges and used to stop movement when two pieces of timber are bolted together. To be effective it had to be centred on the bolt that passed through the two pieces of timber. This item was retreived from the roof trusses of a building in 1980 when they were dismantled. The building was 60 years old.
