Photograph [Kitty Flood]; c. 1905-1915; XCH.1575
Photograph [Kitty Flood]About this object
This black and white photograph pictures Kitty Flood as a young woman. She is shown standing in a field, wearing a dark skirt and a light-coloured blouse. It is possible that the photograph was taken at Clendon House, the childhood home of her mother who was the daughter of Captain James Reddy and Jane Takotowi Clendon (nee Cochrane). It seems likely that this photograph was taken around the same time as some photographs of her sisters, Margaret
and Mary (XCH.1556) who are also pictured in the same setting.
Kitty was the daughter of Frances Louisa Clendon and Robert Patrick Flood. She had two sisters, Margaret and Mary, and two brothers, Thomas and George. She was born on 3 October 1896 and married Nicholas Browne on 11 January 1926.
This photograph is a modern copy made from the original.
