Photograph [Margaret Flood]About this object
This black and white photograph pictures Margaret Flood as a young woman. She is shown standing in a domestic garden, wearing a dark dress with her long hair pulled back by a headband. It is possible that the photograph was taken at Clendon House, the childhood home of her mother who was the daughter of Captain James Reddy and Jane Takotowi Clendon (nee Cochrane). It seems to have been taken in the same location as two other photographs of Margaret and her sister, Mary (XCH.1208)
Margaret was the daughter of Frances Louisa Clendon and Robert Patrick Flood. She had two sisters, Kitty and Mary, and two brothers, Thomas and George. She was born on 14 November 1898 and married Florence Daniel Donovan on 10 April 1928 in Okaihau.
This photograph is a modern copy made from the original.
