Charles Melbourne Masters married Emma Wood in England in 1851. Following their marriage, they emigrated to New Zealand, settling at Pukepoto.
Mr Masters was the first teacher at Pukepoto School and held the position from 1866 to 1891
The album consists of photos of family members and some of the early Maori school pupils.
