Bottle, Ship in a bottle
About this object
This is a sealed ship in a bottle, with a scene of the ocean and sky for the background.
Ships can be put inside bottles in a couple of ways, the most common being to build it outside the bottle where the masts are hinged to lay flat on the deck and lifted after insertion through the bottleneck. The hinges are often deliberately obscured by the creator with other pieces of the model or slight distortions in the bottle. Another way to create such a piece is to build it within the bottle using specialist long-handled tools.
