Photograph, South Riverton boat sheds

About this object

This view of South Riverton shows some of the boat sheds which used to border the estuary; these ones are on the up-stream side of the bridge. The Aparima Tavern is visible, just to the right of centre, above the trees. An electrical fault in 2013 caused the tavern to burn down, but several of the other buildings in this photo are still in use.
