About this object
A hand-coloured photograph of Mrs Annie Mary Valli (née Hinton) with two men labelled as Patrick Hinton and William Hinton outside of a farm cottage.
Annie's father was Patrick Hinton. She also had sons named Patrick and William. An inscription on the back of the photograph reads:
Annie Hinton, Mrs Giuseppe Valli, Uncle Bill, Grand Hinton Patrick, Tihaka'.
Annie was born in Riverton in January 1882, she married Giuseppe Valli (Junior) on 30 April 1906. Ancestry records that they had eight children and that Annie died in Invercargill on 10 November 1961 aged 79. She is buried in the Eastern Cemetery, Invercargill.
