Photograph, Unidentified coupleAbout this object
The couple in this postcard are unnamed. The only clues we have to their identity are that it was taken in Devonport, Tasmania in c.1919 and was sent from Jack and Nell to 'Aunt and Uncle Stuart'.
It may depict Nathaniel Kerr Stuart and his wife Rose Ethel Stuart (neé Brighting) who married in 1908. They had three children: Peter (born 1910), Nell (born 1911) and Jack (born 1919). Their son Jack was a mechanic and to date the only local connection we can make is that Jack married Nancy (Evelina/Evelyn) Bull from Colac Bay in 1940.
