Photograph, Clayton, Pickett and Blomfield Families

About this object

Group black and white photograph of the Clayton, Pickett and Blomfield Families. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Richard Clayton are standing at the back of the photograph. Seated in the middle row far left is Thomas Nevill Blomfield, a chemist who bought the Riverton Medical Hall in 1900. Seated immediately to his right is his Grace Violet Blomfield (nee Lawrence).

Sitting on the ground, far right is George Nicolas Pickett, an accountant with the Bank of New Zealand at Riverton. George married Mabel Lillian Clayton (the daughter of H.R. Clayton) who is named on the back as being in the photograph, we assume Mabel is sitting behind George.

As yet we cannot positively identify the four children or the man siting on the grass on the far left of the image.
