About this objectThis is a copper diving helmet which is part of a diving suit that was used by the Southland Harbour Board. We have a photograph of Bill Britton wearing the suit in the 1950s. The suit was last used c.1960. Bluff locals Andy Miller and Sam McGeorge were other divers who used this suit.
