Epergne

About this object

A beautiful hand blown epergne that was made by Eginton's and was brought to New Zealand by the family when they immigrated. It remained in the family, though tucked out of sight, until gifted to the museum in 1988. When in use it would have graced the centre of the table, with the cones being filled with all sorts of delights such as sweets or maybe even flowers depending on the occasion.
