Bottle, Green Methylated Spirits; Crystal Foodstuffs Ltd; Unknown; WY.1989.483

Name/Title

Bottle, Green Methylated Spirits

About this object

This is a square green glass bottle, with a mysterious past. The paper label reads, 'Methylated Spirits' and this was filled in Dunedin. However, the bottle was also used for 'Aromatic Schnapps', when it was originally made in Schiedam in the Netherlands. The cork and metal cap show another connection, with 'W T & S'.

We believe this bottle came from the Wyndham Plunket Society.
