Powder Compact, Large Blue
About this object
This is a light blue and gold metal compact in a hinged wallet/cigarette-case shaped case with a mirror inside. Also inside is a tortoiseshell comb in a gold material cover, two square compacts areas and a compact 'powder puff' area. The compact is a memento of Queen Mary's maiden voyage which took place on May 27, 1936.
The Queen Mary was a British ocean liner which predominately sailed in the North Atlantic Ocean between 1936 and 1967.
