About this object

This is an adult's full-length one piece cotton calico apron. The embroidered 'Crinoline Lady' design has been heavily worked, and there is some indication around the pocket area that this design was applied by transfer. The item has a 'Semco' label attached, which offers further evidence that this was finished from a ready-made item.
