Name/Title

Petticoat, Baby's Woollen with Lazy Daisy Stitch

About this object

This is a cream fine wool baby's sleeveless petticoat. It features crochet picot edging around the neckline and sleeve openings and may well have been made up from a commercial pattern printed onto the woollen fabric, and the base for the picot edge is probably preformed. The side seams are French seams, which would have prevented fraying.

We have three very similar items, which were donated together.
