Petticoat, Baby's WoollenAbout this object
This is a fine wool baby's sleeveless petticoat. It features crochet picot edging around the neckline and sleeve openings and may well have been made up from a commercially available printed template, and the base for the picot edge was probably preformed. The side seams are French seams, which would have prevented fraying.
We have three very similar items, which were donated together.
