About this object
This is a photograph of Sarah Richardson's house.
Sarah Richardson was married to Samuel Richardson who owned and operated the Wyndham Stables and Coach business. When Samuel died in 1897, Sarah continued to run the business with her brother, W. Cruickshank, as manager. Later, Sarah's son, William Richardson became manager. The Richardson's sold the business in 1912.
Sarah died in 1936, out living her husband by 39 years.
The woman stood at the gate is believed to be Sarah.
