This is a photograph of members of the Mimihau Country Women's Institute at the 75th Jubilee of the organisation.

The members in the photograph are: Betty Eunson, Sheila Arnott, Jean Leitch, holding the Mimihau Banner, Mattie McKay, 75th Jubilee Banner, Betty Geary, Lynette Hunter, Agnes Diack.

The Mimihau C.W.I. held its first meeting on 1st April 1948. In 1951 they began catering for the Dog Trials and this continued through to 2001. Mimihau Institute has always been generous in support of worthy causes and made regular donations to the Southland Hospice.

The Institute remained strong through 1990 when membership was 21. Then there was a decline with numbers falling to 12 in 2009. Shortly afterwards it ceased to exist.
