About this object

This very faded cream silk handkerchief has four World War One allied National anthems; 'God Save the King', 'The Marseillaise', 'God Save our Noble Tsar', and 'La Brabanconne' printed on it in English with the music to accompany them. Each anthem is adorned with a picture of the Nation's ruler, two flags, two soldiers and coat of arms underneath.
