The first hand written information in the diary is the name F. A. Woollettt, 28 Bourke Street, Invercargill. The next entry is Monday 15 December morning:
Bonnie 24 lb, Nancy 4 lb and Lily 9 lb - Are these the names of house cows and the amount of milk they are producing? or are they children?

On page 2 of the Memoranda is Wool Shed pd. 420 and old bull pd. 70.

On 8 January is an entry saying "Mum made bed"

The next entry is not until 31 December 1939 when the following information is noted:
John Alexander - January 14 1932
Mary Annie - Sun. February 23 1934
James Hunter - Sat. October 13 1945
Margaret Edith - Thur. March 24 1949

The following page has the number of ewes in each paddock:
