Name/Title

Board Game, 'Lotto'

About this object

This Lotto game comes in a red cardboard box containing 18 rectangular game cards with green and white numbered squares. Also included are small wooden pieces with red numbers. Inside the lid are the instructions: players select a board whilst the person running the games calls out the numbers from randomly selected discs. The person whose board is all called first is the winner ... just as in modern day Bingo. Interestingly, the early Lotto boxes all feature a house - which no doubt led to this game's other name - Housie !
