About this object

This is a photograph of Thomas & Clara Lobb (nee Rive), who farmed on 120 acres at Coal Pit Road between 1904-1932.

The couple married in 1888 and had two children, William and Mabel. Thomas was one of the first in the district to purchase a tractor and a car.

The couple are possibly dressed up for one of their children's wedding. Mabel married David Mitchell in 1921 and William married Frances Anna Butler in 1922.
