Early New Zealand contingents attending overseas Jamboree's would decorate their tent fronts to look like Maori whares. This item show was used in 1935 at the Australasian Jamboree at Frankston, Melbourne, and has spent many years in the Shirley Scout Hall in Christchurch before coming to the Museum. It consists of 5 pieces, carved and painted, and bolted together.Object Type
