About this object

White cotton and lace headwear - possibly a maids cap. It has an organdie backing in a circular shape with ties at either side. There is a lace edging to the backing. The front of the cap has some gold ribbon tabs on the lace. Overlaying this there is a horseshoe shape of lace and cotton which would form the top of the cap.At the front there is a gold ribbon rosette. Extending from the centre of the rosette is a strip of lace extending towards the back where 2 ribbon tail are attached.
